Incident Overview

Description
The aircraft was operating on a training flight out of Montreal Airport. An approach to land on runway 24L at Montreal Airport was made with the right inner propeller feathered and the right outer engine at reduced power to simulate feathering of the propeller on that engine. The undercarriage had not been selected down and the left inner and right outer propellers contacted the runway. Power was applied and a turn was made to the right for a landing on runway 06. The aircraft was substantially damaged when it landed with the wheels selected down but not locked. The occupants were not injured. Probable Causes The crew failed to extend the undercarriage and two of the propellers struck the runway during an attempt to land. The aircraft was substantially damaged during the emergency landing with the undercarriage unlocked.
