On February 9, a Tupolev 134 aircraft arrived in Budapest following a flight from Kiev. It was subsequently prepared for an F3 maintenance check, during which the instrument panel was cleaned. A chemical substance used in the cleaning process ignited, resulting in a rapid fire on the flight deck and the deaths of four maintenance technicians. Description

During this check, the instrument panel in the flight deck was cleaned. The chemical substance used in this process caught fire, causing a rapid fire on the flight deck.
