Description
Three airmen died in a test flight accident. They served in the transport regiment of China Air Force, Shenyang Military Region. The historical inventory suggested that the regiment was equipped with a few Shijiazhuang Y-5 (Chinese-built Antonov An-2) airplanes and Harbin Z-5 (Chinese-built Mil Mi-4) helicopters at that time. Circumstantial evidence, including brief recollection from a colleague of the deceased airmen who witnessed the accident, suggested that the mishap aircraft was a Shijiazhuang Y-5.
