Description
During a training flight, the Xinjin Airfield and the surrounding area became covered by clouds. The Shijiazhuang Y-5 struck a hill when the crew maneuvered at low altitude in an attempt to land. The instructor and the student pilot aboard the mishap aircraft were both inexperienced with instrument meteorological conditions.
