A collision occurred with the ground shortly after takeoff from runway 17. The pilot and technician were fatally injured. Investigation revealed that the rudder trim was set to the full left at the time of the accident, instead of the normal (central) takeoff setting. This is suspected to be a probable cause due to in-flight loss of control resulting from airspeed and subsequent stall at low altitude.A collision occurred with the ground shortly after takeoff from runway 17. Description

Collided with the ground shortly after takeoff from runway 17; pilot and technician fatally injured.
