A Li-2 operated flight from Budapest to Szombathely and Zalaegerszeg was hijacked by four armed men shortly after takeoff. They demanded to be flown westward and were subsequently apprehended by authorities. Description
The Li-2 operated on a flight from Budapest (BUD) to Szombathely and Zalaegerszeg. Shortly after takeoff from Szombathely the airplane was hijacked by four men armed with machine guns who wanted to be flown to the West. They were taken down by authorities on the plane. One was killed, two were seriously injured.
