Description
An Il-14, registered 626, was substantially damaged when it overran the wet runway at Enshi Aerodrome (defunct; not today’s Enshi Xujiaping Airport, ZHES) and struck the perimeter wall of the airport. The seven crew members and 18 passengers survived without injury. The flight crew’s late application of brakes was an important factor in the accident. It was unclear if the aircraft had been repaired after this accident.
