A small arms fire attack resulted in the loss of an aircraft during a defoliation mission. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing on top of dense jungle underbrush, approximately 20-30 feet high. Description

Shot down by small arms fire while on a defoliation mission. The pilot made a forced landing on top of jungle underbrush that was about 20-30 feet high. The airplane was stripped off radios etc. and blown up using Claymore mines.
