Description

The flight transported a very valuable load of silk to Kunming when it flew past the destination in very bad weather. The Douglas C-47 #93 took off from Chongqing at 07:20. At 08:55 it was flying above Weining County, Bijie, Guizhou Province. Contact was lost 13 minutes later. The plane did not fly past Kunming as CNAC.org suggested; instead, it went down between Chongqing and Kunming. Aerial survey of the crash site was performed by another CNAC pilot, Rengeng Bian.
