Description

The aircraft operated on a paratroop mission as part of Operation Market Garden. The 17 paratroopers were dropped over Dropzone A, near Veghel, the Netherlands. On the way back the aircraft was hit by flak and an in-flight fire developed. One crew members survived after bailing out.
