A C-47A transport plane experienced a catastrophic failure during a cargo flight from Moscow to Minsk and then to Kaunas. After a 15-minute delay in Minsk, the right engine failed, followed by the left engine. Description

The C-47A transport plane operated on a cargo flight from Moscow-Vnukovo Airport to Šiauliai with an route stops at Minsk and Kaunas. Some 15 minutes after take-off from Minsk, the right hand engine failed. The crew decided to return to Minsk. After having to execute two go arounds at Minsk, eventually the left engine failed as well. The aircraft collided with a pole, hit the roof of a house and came down in a garden.
