Description
Following takeoff from runway 14, the pilot advised that he had to shut down the right engine and requested to return to the airport, and the aircraft lost altitude and crashed 2 miles east of the runway center line, into the pine forest off Charmichael Road. The aircraft was operating on a flight for Caribbean Air. According to reports the weather at Nassau at 13:00 included a temperature of 32deg C (90 F), dewpoint 25deg C (77 F), 1016 mB and wind 160deg/10 kts.
