Description
Poor weather at Chongqing forced the captain to divert to Kweilin, which also closed. After holding there, fuel exhaustion forced the pilots to descend. The C-47 crashed into a mountain. This airplane was formerly registered 42-32787 in USAAF. The crew survived the crash, but one passenger was fatally injured. CEBHR (1997) alternatively recorded the date of this accident as 16th instead of 18th June, 1944.
