A single-crew aircraft, a Cessna 206, crashed in the Himalayan Mountains. The pilot, Captain James T. Cunningham Jr., survived the incident. The crew consisted of Captain Cunningham, Co-Pilot Robert D. Campbell, Radio Operator Sgt. William R. Gunn, and Sgt. Paul J. Beauchamp. Beauchamp parachuted to safety and was aided by locals and rescued.
