A commercial aircraft experienced a forced landing in severe icing conditions, resulting in a fire and the death of the second pilot, Capt. D.W. Ray. Capt. Poole, the Pilot in Command (PIC), Mr. Rennie, and radio officer, Mr. Wright, were severely burned. Eight passengers were unharmed. Description
Force landed in icing conditions. Caught fire. 2nd pilot, Capt. D.W. Ray died. Capt. Poole, PIC, Mr Rennie ,radio officer, mr. Wright, flying eng, were badly burned. Eight passengers escaped unhurt. Air mail destroyed.
