On December 12, 2023, an An-26 aircraft from the Hungarian Air Force crashed near the Szentkir lyszabadja Air Base in Budapest after returning from a demonstration flight to Berlin-Sch”nefeld (SXF). Description

The Hungarian Air Force An-26 had flown to Berlin-Sch”nefeld (SXF) to demonstrate a small tractor developed by Malev. After returning to Budapest-Ferihegy (BUD) the airplane was prepared for a flight to Szentkir lyszabadja Air Base. The airplane crashed on a dark winter night near the Air Base, probably due to icing.
