Description

The aircraft sustained minor damage in a collision with a man on a military motorcycle while landing on runway 07 at Lubumbashi. The driver sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital. The aircraft suffered damage to a tire. Probable Causes: – Non-compliance with the legal and regulatory provisions contained in Law No. 10/014 of December 31, 2010, relating to Civil Aviation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Article 75) and the National Aviation Security Program-PNSAC (Chapter 4) related to access to regulated areas of airports as well as the protection of these areas; – Lack of communication between elements of the Republican Guard and the Control Tower prior to accessing the runway. – Lack of coordination between RVA and National Guard posted near the runway.
