An Ilyushin 18V transport plane, CCCP-75732, experienced a catastrophic accident in the Shelikhov Gulf, resulting in the deaths of all ten occupants. The aircraft departed Cape Schmidt carrying 14.5 tons of fuel and landed at Anadyr after an unexceptional flight. Upon landing, it was loaded with 10 tons of meat. The flight then resumed VFR at 7000m, where one engine failed, leading to an emergency descent and a gear-up landing on the ice of the Shelikhov Gulf near the Bukhta Yemlinskaya Bay.
