Description
Air Inuit Cargo flight 3H885, a DHC-8-314 (F), suffered a landing gear related issue upon landing at Kangiqsujuaq Airport (YWB/CYKG). During touchdown at CYKG, the lower section of the left main landing gear detached. The aircraft bounced and touched down with only the nose and right landing gear. Directional control was maintained and the aircraft came to rest on the runway. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the fuselage, nacelle, engine and propeller. There were no injuries.
