A Hydroplane experienced a catastrophic landing due to a combination of factors. The aircraft was forced to land off the runway, resulting in a collision with an embankment. The dam created by cut grass at the runway edge impeded drainage, leading to a hydroplane sinking into a ditch. Investigation revealed probable causes related to airport facilities, runway/landing area conditions, foreign substance covering information, and potentially unsafe/hazardous airport personnel conditions. The aircraft’s landing gear and tire pressure were identified as contributing factors.A Hydroplane experienced a catastrophic landing due to a combination of factors.
